:This route passes thru various neighborhoods in Shirley, the Poospatuck Reservation, Mastic Beach, William Floyd Estate, Johns Neck Tidal Wetlands and the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge area. It’s generally flat with light traffic in most areas, but there are numerous turns. Also, some detouring is possible due to flooding in the low lying areas. Some roads may have puddles or sand. Food stop at Hero Haven in Shirley. Ride starts at 10:00a from the Southaven County Park, 761 Victory Ave, Yaphank, near exit 56 on Sunrise Hwy. RSVP suggested, not required. Rain cancels.

The Oakdale LIRR station is on the NW corner of Montauk Hwy & Oakdale-Bohemia Rd, accessible from either exit 46A or 47A of Sunrise Hwy. (Park in the lot south of the tracks.) :This ride will be a very relaxed C pace of 11-13 mph. Meet at the east end of the Massapequa Park RR station at 8:30a. We will stop at Bagel Dock in Freeport and take food to our rest stop at nearby Sea Breeze Park. This is a very flat route, albeit with moderate traffic in some areas. If you haven’t ridden in a while, or just want to try out riding in a group, this is a good opportunity. We allow one free ride for potential members. Please be ready to ride at 8:30a.
