The split to the 100 route out to Montauk was poorly marked, confusing and not talked about in any route guidance or communication

I was one of several people who missed a turn and therefore about 25 mile going out to montauk point because garmin didn’t recognize being off course after first aid station and calling sag wagon number for help was useless as man who answered didn’t know route, and didn’t have any interest in helping or answering questions when told we needed help knowing where to go.. So, a great area to ride with great people participating, but pretty poorly organized compared to other events for sure…

Always a good event. The notary thing is ridiculous but I know that’s not your fault.

It was well organized. Riders comment med on what a great experience it was for them.

There should have been more organization around starting time. We rode by ourselves and barely saw anybody during our ride because everybody started at different times.

When we finished, didn’t see any sandwiches and there was so much chaos that we just left and grabbed food elsewhere.

I am glad to see the survey being offered. My main complaint/concern is the other riders. I can’t stress enough the lack of courtesy and the dangerous conditions that the large group riders posed to those of us that just wanted a fun ride. On more than one occasion, I was run off the road by the large group riders that passed by. And I witnessed it happen to other riders as well. Also, the same group, and others, created situations with cars. They were rude to the drivers. It’s no wonder that cars don’t like us, it’s people like that, that create aggressive behavior. In addition to that, some volunteers were a bit on the rude side. I know they are volunteers and I’m thankful for it but if they don’t want to be there then It shouldn’t be obvious.
Please stress the safety issue with the large group riders.

Thanks for fixing the small jersey problem. The jersey now fits great in addition to looking great.

My friend and I were lucky enough to not get lost, but the signage in some areas was non-existent. Other cyclists we met were asking us if we were on the correct path.

I know that there are difficult challenges with organizing this great ride. The routes are the best we have on Long Island and I hope the you can continue to have your TOH events in the future

I appreciate you doing a survey…not aware of any other ride that has solicited rider input in order to learn and improve.

I have been doing this ride for many years and was disappointed in the clarity of markings I was not the only one who had made some wrong turns because there was no signage at some turns. Also when most of these rides get many donations it was disappointing that for a $65.00 entry we didn’t even get a t-shirt. Not sure if I will drive such a long distance to participate in this ride. Thank you for putting out a survey

Road markings were not 100% clear at every turn. Definitely encourage riders to download app.

I did the 25 this year, which is shorter than usual. The markings were great and the scenery was delightful.

Any way we can use the indoor school bathrooms instead of the porta potties ? Just a thought. Thx !

some road markings were difficult to see with the sun/ road debris, but overall very good

The need to have the consent form notarized was ridiculous. I understand that is not your requirement.

In consideration of being helpful as ride marshals, perhaps setting marshals up at some locations. Specifically have marshals set at distance intervals to assist riders in need. We noticed that riding the route just gives us a ride, which of course is delightful, but riders who may be in need, may be passed and forgotten.

I know that there are difficult challenges with organizing this great ride. The routes are the best we have on Long Island and I hope the you can continue to have your TOH events in the future

The ride was great and everyone helpful. The only confusion was the notarized paper. Initially emails indicated there would be a notary at the ride but then later it indicated you had to have it signed prior.

Do NOT sell TOH jerseys sized only fo thinner people. Use the same sizing guidelines as per all prior years!

There are a few (two) turns on 50 that markings not good as I had issues harming download. If I didn’t see a rider turn left I would have missed(can you add a flag? At some turns? And I missed turn 50/75/100 at traffic light and did extra

I volunteered for the early morning set up and worked day of registration & the check-in. There could be some improvement and I would suggest
that there be at least four individuals to improve the process. At times there were only two or three and that seemed to cause a delay in the process.

Fantastic event. Will be back next year.

Enjoyed the group ride very much, there were just a af ew spots that were dicey with traffic, road markings in general very clear. I did use the cue sheet but not the app bc you had to purchase the app for additional cost.

I’ve done this ride 4 or 5 times , from 50 – 100miles weather depending. It is definately one of my favorite rides of the season. The routes are beautiful and the volunteers are always so friendly…not to mention yummy food/fuel. THANK YOU!!!

While the road markings were very good at turns, there was some long straight stretches without any. It would be comforting if every, say 1/2 mile or so on these long stretches there was a marking just to confirm we’re on the right road.

Bring back shirts as part of registration fee.

I love coming to rides that are very cost effective and not some organization looking to make a big profit. Thank you for being conscious of that.

one turn near the last rest stop was not well marked, but we found the rest stop without too much trouble

Better notary support for the application would be very appreciated. Otherwise, it was another great event.

Great rest stops and very friendly volunteers

Overall a very well organized event with great routes, my only 2 complaints was our inability to contact SAG via phone and my ride jersey being way too small (I haven’t used yet, I should try for a swap)
