Ride Classifications

Non-members are welcome to join us for a test ride. After that, for insurance purposes, you must be a member to join our rides.

Rides are now classified in the Rides and Events schedule* according to cruising speed on the flats and also average speed as indicated below:

AA+ Rides: - Generally 22-28 mph cruising speed & 18-20 mph ride average
AA Rides: - Generally 20-23 mph cruising speed & 17-18 mph ride average
A+ Rides: - Generally 18-21 mph cruising speed & 16-17 mph ride average
A Rides: - Generally 17-20 mph cruising speed & 15-16 mph ride average
B+ Rides: - Generally 15-18 mph cruising speed & 14-15 mph ride average
B Rides: - Generally 14-17 mph cruising speed & 13-14 mph ride average
C+ Rides: - Generally 12-15 mph cruising speed & 12-13 mph ride average
C Rides: - Generally 11-14 mph cruising speed & 10-12 mph ride average
Mountain Bike Rides: - Varied levels with details in ride description
Virtual/Zwift Rides: - Ride is “banded” everyone who pedals stays together

If you aren't sure you can keep the cruising speed or the average, please start out with a slower classification.
