On Saturday May 4th, MPBC honors the club’s 50th Anniversary with a members-only commemorative ride and event starting from Haypath Park in Old Bethpage. The festivities begin at 8:30 AM with three group rides that are open to all ride classifications – • A 50-mile route to East Island led by Paul Santoro (https://www.strava.com/routes/3218560179706443760) • A 35-mile (50K) route to Kings Park led by Fred Itkin • A special 50K route for owners of vintage/classic bicycles to Oyster Bay led by Gene Colon (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46271185) There will be bananas and snacks available before the ride and a light lunch in Haypath Park after the ride. The club will also have fit kits on hand for the new MPBC 50th anniversary kits for those who want to confirm their sizes before ordering theirs. |
