Due to MPBC falling short of the registrations needed to cover the Classic Ride of the Ancient Mariner, we are now offering an out-and-back Century format in place of the one-way ride to Montauk. Those who registered for the classic Ride will be contacted this week to discuss either refunding $35 and riding the out-and-back Century or opting out of the event for a full refund
MASSEPEQUA PARK BIcycle CLUB
On Saturday June 18th, MPBC members will ride a South Shore club century starting from Massapequa Park, riding east to Westhampton Beach, and returning back to the starting point. We will pass through the towns of Babylon, Bay Shore, Sayville, Patchogue, Shirley and Mastic along the way in both directions. The ride will include limited SAG support.
MPBC will also offer two shorter round-trip options starting from Massapequa Park, including a Metric format and a thirty-mile route. Participants will have the option of joining one of the following rides:
Full Ancient Mariner (108 miles): 7:00 AM departure from Massapequa Park LIRR to Westhampton Beach
Metric Mariner (62 miles): 7:00 AM departure from Massapequa Park LIRR (MPRR). Route will guide you out to Bellport and back to MPRR
Sub Mariner (30 miles): 7:00 AM departure from Massapequa Park LIRR (MPRR). Route will guide you out to Oakdale and back to MPRR.
- MPBC membership is required. Non-Members have the option to join the ride via membership registration
- Helmet, Mask, Hand Sanitizer & proper bike gear required. Cue sheets and GPX files will be available.

Important Info
After 6pm on June 15th, online registration will close and the price of the Classic Ancient Mariner ride will be $40 for both members and non-members. Register by filling out the PDF registration form and bringing it with you on the day of ride.
