Join us for MPBC’s Food Festival at Bethpage State Park
This event brings our members and their guests together for an afternoon of food, refreshments, and outdoor summer fun! The picnic will be at the Eagle Pavilion in Bethpage State Park.
Attendees will enjoy excellent food prepared by the more culinary-minded members of the club, soft drinks, games, and the opportunity to see what those they ride with every weekend look like without helmets and cycling glasses.
You are welcome to BYOB, and we plan to hold a variety of games and activities to enjoy a nice summer day outdoors.
Tickets are $10 per person. There is also a per-vehicle parking fee of $10 (see below for some ways to save).
Driving Directions
Bring friends and family and have lots of fun! The picnic will be at the Eagle Pavilion in Bethpage State Park. When entering the main parking lot there are two pavilions, we are at the one up the hill. Park in the main lot and follow the foot path up the hill.
There will be plenty of food and soft drinks on hand, feel free to BYOB (including alcoholic beverages) if desired.
There is a $10 parking fee per vehicle.
Alternatives to the $10 parking fee:
- Car pool with someone you like… or for $10, maybe someone you don’t like.
- Some libraries have the Empire State Pass that patrons can check out for free. For most libraries, you reserve online and pick up the pass in person. Check your local library for availability as the number of passes are limited.
- Park at the Bethpage Library or streets adjacent to the park entrance (off of Powell Ave/Plainview Rd) and walk/bike to the venue. (Approx 1.4 miles from the Bethpage Library lot, approx. 1.0 mile from adjacent streets)
