The Tour of the Hamptons is MPBC’s showcase event that provides funding for the clubs community activities. We are a community oriented club that takes pride in the work that we do in support of the community and to promote bicycling. Every year MPBC gives back to the community by providing support and donations for several causes:
- The Make a Wish Foundation ® – grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions
- MPBC Bikes for Kids Program – Purchases bicycles for children from local families in need during holiday season
- Massapequa High School Scholarship
- Southampton High School Scholarship
Our 350 plus members are dedicated to bicycling in all its forms from recreational day rides to mountain biking and to racing. Our club is affiliated with both local and national bicycling advocacy organizations and we hope you will consider sponsoring our event.
Not only is it one of the prettiest tours in the northeast but it's also one of
the most biker-friendly (i.e. flat).
Well over a thousand bicyclists come from
all over the metropolitan New York–Long Island area to ride one of the Tour's
four scenic routes (25, 50, 65 and 100 miles) and enjoy the snacks and drinks
served at the MPBC rest stops located along the well-marked routes.
Fee: $25 before August 19th, $35 day of tour.
Registrations post-marked or completed on-line by July 19th will receive a free commemorative T-shirt.
Proceeds from the T.O.H. are used in part to support MPBC's community activities.
