Lets try to beat the heat with an early start. Bring two water bottles and a snack. We'll take a bathroom and water break about halfway through the ride. Usual Pace...high end of the A range with a little speeding into the AA range. Depending on what the group wants to do we can make the ride very hilly or just somewhat hilly. Check MPBC forum for updates or if you want to comment. 08/01/2010 ;

First-time for this tour-inspired "clock-drop" format. Regrouping (full stop - foot down) locations will be designated. After the 2nd rider gets to a designated spot the clock starts running. After a pre-determined time elapses riders continue to the next checkpoint. Laggards have to chase back on, come up with a shortcut, or form a grupetto. No whining, no sympathy. Polka dot jersey for best climber. If brutally hot/humid conditions then typical ride. 08/07/2010 ;
